Zubin Cracker for Social Good

About the Zubin Cracker

In 2021, for the Christmas and New Year’s season, we launched the Zubin Cracker (not an edible item). It came in red and white, decorated with intricate, hand-drawn sketches representing Hong Kong and Christmas. These Christmas crackers made for a fantastic decoration on Christmas trees or dinner tables during the holidays. Each cracker contained a crown, a joke and a novelty item.

This year we conducted an Inclusive Design Contest for children betwenn the ages of 5 and 13. We received over 35 submissions across schools. Two winning designs will be adapted to create the Zubin Cracker 2022.

Why Should You Support the Zubin Cracker?

By purchasing the Zubin Cracker, you extend support to The Zubin Foundation and Hong Kong’s marginalised ethnic minority community. In 2021, this cracker was:

  • Created by Hong Kong’s diverse youth who participated in the Inclusive Design Contest run across schools for 5-13 year olds
  • Made in a social enterprise supporting the employment of ethnic minorities
  • Sold by partners across Hong Kong who support racial diversity and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

All proceeds go towards The Zubin Foundation‘s work for Hong Kong’s marginalised ethnic minorities in mental health, support for women and girls and providing jobs and opportunities.

The Zubin Cracker by The Zubin Foundation is working towards improving our impact on sustainability through the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8, 10, 12 and 17. Click here to view our value chain and click here to learn more about our SDGS and targets in 2022.
