Meeta is a mental health counsellor working at the Children’s Counselling Centre. Meeta is passionate about working with children and has interned at two international schools in Hong Kong as a counsellor working with adolescents with anxiety, depression, self-harm, internet addiction, and low self-esteem.
Meeta has also interned for 18 months at Spot Children’s Centre where she saw children with a wide range of mental health concerns and special needs. She also runs mental health talks with Mind HK for parents of teenagers. Meeta is passionate about advocating for children’s needs and bringing out their true potential.
At The Zubin Foundation, Meeta is responsible for counselling children and adolescents. She also runs support groups for women and for parents with children with special needs and raising awareness of mental health in the ethnic minority community.
Meeta has a Masters in Counselling (Distinction) from Monash University, Australia and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She has worked in India, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Meeta is a full member of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA). She is also certified in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is fluent in English and Hindi/Urdu.
