Meeta is responsible for helping in running support groups for women and for parents with children with special needs and raising awareness of mental health in the ethnic minority community.
Meeta has a Masters in Counselling degree (Distinction) from Monash University, Australia and a Master’s in Business Administration from The Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She has worked in India, Singapore, and Hong Kong. She has interned at two international schools in Hong Kong as a counsellor working with adolescents with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and low self-esteem.
Meeta has also interned for 18 months at Spot Children’s Centre where she saw children with a wide range of mental health concerns and special needs. She also runs mental health talks with Mind HK for parents of teenagers. Meeta is passionate about advocating for children’s needs, especially for girls.
Meeta is a full member of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA). She is fluent in English and Hindi.
