#Hongkonger
“Your Voice, Your Choice” is the first initiative of its kind to explore in depth the issues facing non-ethnic Hong Kong Chinese youth — an important and fast-growing, but often overlooked, constituency. The project is supported by Mr. Lau Ming-Wai, Chairman of the Commission on Youth.
In the first phase of the 18-month long project, we aim to better understand their challenges, aspirations and notions of identity through focus group discussions with 250 ethnic minority youth. The findings will be included in a report and presented to key stakeholders within the government, Legislative Council and private sector.
Around 20 individuals will then be selected for capacity-building workshops and mentorships, with the aim of equipping and empowering them to become agents of meaningful change within their communities.
