The Future of Ethnic Minorities and Non-Chinese in Hong Kong: 
A Discussion with Mrs. Carrie Lam

In early 2017, during the election for Hong Kong's next Chief Executive, The Zubin Foundation extended invitations to all candidates to join an armchair discussion on the future of ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. Chief Secretary, Mrs. Carrie Lam accepted the invitation to speak with the community, and joined an armchair discussion on 23 February. 


The event, which took place at the Sai Ying Pun Community Complex, was attended by over 200 people from different ethnic minority and non-Chinese groups in Hong Kong. 

The panel discussion was moderated by Professor Puja Kapai from The University of Hong Kong's Centre for Comparative and Public Law, and Professor Naubahar Sharif, from the Division of Social Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
